Melson teaches music at Wood Middle School in Alameda Unified School District and supports over 70 students, including concert band, symphonic band, orchestra, and marching band. Melson's work history includes responsibilities ranging from director of the San Jose State University Symphonic Band, to education specialist, and instructor of music.
